Service Department Manager

As our service department manager, you would be responsible for overseeing all areas of our damper service department. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. You will head up a team of technicians, work with service advisors, and coordinate with other department managers.

Key Job Duties

  • Delegate and direct service and repair orders.
  • Coordinate with receiving department to ensure efficient flow of all inbound service/repair orders into the service department.
  • Coordinate with service advisors to ensure service repair orders and travel documents provide a clear objective to achieve the customers needs.
  • Maintain a high level of quality control and efficient turn-around windows on all open repair orders.
  • Provide training to existing and new team members .
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness, organization, and structured workflow processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Excellent management and leadership experience .
  • Ability to operate a lathe and mill.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics and preferably, familiarity with the production and service of automotive dampers.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong industry knowledge (automotive motorsport).

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Experience in developing new workflow practices and training materials.
